Toward a Healthy Hawaii 2010

“Toward a Healthy Hawaii 2010” was part of the nationwide Health People 2010 health promotion and disease prevention initiative. This data book presented a profile of the health the state and each Hawaii county measured against these goals in 2000. Highlighted in this first edition included both areas where national goals were met and where opportunities to improve the health of our community existed. The information in the data book sets the stage for public policy makers to support individuals and communities to be healthy and to assure access to care.
