Hawaii Health Information Corporation was established in 1994 as an independent, not-for-profit health data company, exclusively (a) to develop and maintain a statewide integrated health information system, supporting the information needs concerning Hawaii’s health resources, health service utilization, and health status; (b) to conduct and promote research regarding variations in medical and surgical patterns and statistical analysis of medical and health data, and (c) to publish and distribute information regarding the findings.
